ISO-30415:DISM / The distinction matters

Readiness is not certification.

ISO 30415 is guidance, not a requirements-based management-system certification standard. Any DISM credential or organizational certification is a separate WSMI methodology and review process, not an ISO-issued certificate.

Certification explained

How certification works.

For ISO 30415, the publication, the implementation method, and the certification decision each have a different role.

Who publishes the standard, and who certifies?

ISO develops and publishes international standards. It does not issue certifications to individuals or organizations, and it does not accredit certification providers. Certification decisions are made by the organization administering the applicable program, not by ISO.

What is the role of an accreditation body?

An accreditation body assesses a certification body against applicable competence and impartiality requirements under a defined accreditation scheme. Accreditation is distinct from a certification decision; participation in an ISO-related program alone does not establish accreditation.

What does InclusionScore administer?

InclusionScore, through the Workforce Service Management Institute (WSMI), administers ISO-30415:DISM organizational assessment and certification and the separate ISO-30415:DIP professional pathway. Scope, evidence, review, and the eventual decision are governed by the applicable WSMI program, not issued by ISO.

How do ISO 30415 and ISO 30201 relate to the programs?

ISO 30415 is a diversity-and-inclusion guidance standard supported in practice by InclusionScore's DISM methodology. ISO 30201 specifies HR management-system requirements supported by InclusionScore's HRSM methodology. These are distinct standards and WSMI application pathways; neither is an ISO-operated certification program.

Why apply guidance?

Turn inclusion principles into organizational practice.

Organizations apply guidance such as ISO 30415 to strengthen governance, invite meaningful workforce participation, and make inclusion practices measurable. A defined approach helps teams identify and manage people-related risks, review outcomes, and improve organizational performance over time.

DISM translates that guidance into an assessment and improvement pathway. It does not turn ISO 30415 into a requirements-based ISO certification standard.

Review stage

Assessment

The organization records its current practices and supporting evidence. Self-assessed IMMI is an internal starting point.

02

Review stage

Advisor validation

An authorized professional can review evidence and challenge or substantiate maturity determinations.

03

Review stage

Independent review

Assurance and any WSMI DISM certification decision require the applicable independent process. Readiness is not a certificate.
